Home UAE Abu Dhabi Etihad Airways to double flights on Abu Dhabi-Jakarta route The flights will be operated using Etihad’s fleet of Boeing B787 and B777 aircraft by Zainab Mansoor January 20, 2023 National carrier Etihad Airways is ramping up flights between Abu Dhabi and Jakarta from daily to double-daily services. From October 1, 2023, travellers can avail 14 weekly non-stop flights between Abu Dhabi and the Indonesian capital. The flights will be operated using the carrier’s fleet of Boeing B787 and B777 aircraft. “Etihad Airways is delighted to boost air connectivity between Abu Dhabi and Indonesia, one of the fastest-growing economies in the world,” said Arik De, chief revenue officer at Etihad Airways. “Our new flight has been optimised to arrive in Abu Dhabi in the morning, giving travellers from Indonesia a head-start to explore the attractions of our vibrant capital city. “At the same time, our new service leverages our recently-expanded relationship with Garuda Indonesia to make it even more convenient for UAE residents to visit Jakarta, or one of 20 other destinations throughout Indonesia.” The carrier said that “the strengthened air links will support the growth of trade and tourism on both sides and reaffirm Etihad’s commitment to supporting inbound tourism.” The airline’s flight schedule effective October 1, is as follows: Flight Departing Time Arriving Time Aircraft Days EY474 Abu Dhabi 3.05am Jakarta 2.35pm B777 Daily EY475 Jakarta 5.05pm Abu Dhabi 10.05pm B777 Daily EY472 Abu Dhabi 10.30am Jakarta 9.40pm B787-9 Daily EY471 Jakarta 1.40am Abu Dhabi 6.40am B787-9 Daily The carrier has doubled down on its commitment to several destinations. This month, Etihad announced that starting March 26, it would fly twice a day on the Abu Dhabi – Bangkok route, taking the total number of weekly nonstop services to Bangkok Airport to 14.
