IBM has launched IBM Enterprise Advantage, a new asset-based consulting service designed to help enterprises rapidly build, govern, and operate their own internal AI platforms at scale using proven tools, frameworks, and expertise.
The service enables organisations to redesign workflows, integrate AI into existing systems, and deploy agentic applications without changing their current cloud providers, AI models, or core infrastructure. Enterprise Advantage supports multi-cloud and hybrid environments, including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, IBM watsonx, as well as both open- and closed-source models, allowing enterprises to maximise existing technology investments.
IBM Enterprise Advantage brings together IBM Consulting’s industry and technical expertise with technology derived from IBM Consulting Advantage, IBM’s internal AI-powered delivery platform. Consulting Advantage already supports a growing marketplace of industry-specific AI agents and applications and has been used in more than 150 client engagements. IBM reports that the platform has improved consultant productivity by up to 50 per cent, helping accelerate client outcomes.
With the launch of Enterprise Advantage, IBM is extending this same internal, battle-tested approach to clients, enabling organisations to build their own AI platforms and navigate the increasingly complex AI ecosystem with greater confidence, governance, and speed.
The service is designed to support enterprises at different stages of AI maturity. For example, global learning company Pearson is using Enterprise Advantage to build a customised AI-powered platform that combines human expertise with agentic assistants to support everyday decision-making and operational workflows.
In another deployment, a manufacturing company used Enterprise Advantage to implement its generative AI strategy by identifying high-value use cases, testing targeted prototypes, and aligning leadership around a scalable, platform-first approach. The organisation is now deploying AI assistants across multiple technologies within a secure, governed environment, creating a foundation for expanding generative AI adoption enterprise-wide.

Commenting on the launch, Lula Mohanty, managing partner – MEA, IBM Consulting, said: “AI has the potential to transform every business, but turning that potential into real, scalable value remains a challenge for many organizations. At IBM, we’ve navigated this journey ourselves—using AI to modernize our operations and achieve measurable results. Enterprise Advantage extends that proven approach to our clients, combining human expertise, secure AI assets, and intelligent digital workers, so businesses can confidently scale AI and drive meaningful, lasting impact.”
IBM Enterprise Advantage reflects IBM’s broader strategy to help enterprises move beyond AI experimentation toward governed, production-scale deployment, positioning AI as a core operational capability rather than a standalone technology initiative.
