Home UAE Dubai Emirates to introduce new A380 aircraft on Dubai-London route from January 4 The flight between the two cities will operate as EK003/004 by Varun Godinho January 3, 2021 Dubai-based carrier Emirates will deploy its latest flagship A380 aircraft featuring new premium economy seats to London Heathrow starting Monday, January 4. The new aircraft have enhancements made across all cabin classes, besides updates to its signature Shower Spa and Onboard Lounge. The economy class seats are also similar to those installed on the airline’s latest Boeing 777-300ER. The airline added that until more Premium Economy seats enter its inventory, it intends to offer these as spot upgrades for customers on a discretionary basis. All other signature Emirates A380 First, Business and Economy cabins are available for reservation on the airline’s website or via travel agents. Each seat supports 6-way adjustable headrests, calf rests and footrests. Read: Dubai’s Emirates airline unveils premium economy class in its new Airbus A380 The flight between Dubai and London will operate as EK003/004, and is scheduled to depart Dubai daily at 2.30pm and arrive London Heathrow at 6.20pm. The return flight departs London at 8.20pm and arrives in Dubai the next day at 07:20am. It currently serves London Heathrow with five daily flights of which four are operated with an A380. The airline also operates 10 flights a week to Manchester, and daily flights to both Birmingham and Glasgow. Emirates received its newest A380 aircraft from Airbus’ Hamburg facility in December, and its remaining order of five A380s will also be delivered with premium economy cabins over 2021 and 2022.
