Home UAE Dubai Emirates suspends flights from two African countries to Dubai The suspensions from Angola and Guinea take effect from Tuesday, December 28 by Varun Godinho December 28, 2021 UAE carrier Emirates said on Monday that it would be suspending flights indefinitely from Republic of Angola (LAD) and the Republic of Guinea (CKY). The suspensions take effect from Tuesday, December 28. It added that customers originating from Angola and Guinea would be restricted from entering or transiting through Dubai until further notice. Outbound passenger operations from Dubai to these destinations remain unaffected. The airline noted that affected customers do not need to contact the airline immediately for rebooking. They can hold on to their Emirates ticket and when flights resume, they can subsequently change their travel dates. Starting December 26, the airline stopped accepting passengers for flights to or through Dubai from Kenya (NBO), Ethiopia (ADD) and Tanzania (DAR). Earlier this month, Emirates also said that it would be suspending its flights indefinitely between Nigeria and Dubai from December 13, 2021, until the UAE and Nigerian authorities work on a solution to the issue of limiting Emirates to operate one flight per week to Nigeria via Abuja.
