Home Expo 2020 Emirates NBD offers employees one week paid leave to volunteer for Expo 2020 Dubai The Dubai-headquartered bank is the Official Premier Partner of Expo 2020 Dubai by Varun Godinho September 29, 2021 Emirates NBD Group has confirmed that it will offer its employees one week of paid leave should they wish to volunteer at Expo 2020 Dubai. “The Expo 2020 Dubai volunteering program is the largest-ever in the UAE and reflects the country’s diversity with 135 nationalities participating. Our large network of volunteers includes people from many different countries and across the Group, we are represented by 85 different nationalities in total,” said Eman Abdulrazzaq, group chief human resource officer, Emirates NBD Group. The Dubai-headquartered bank is the Official Premier Partner of Expo 2020 Dubai and unveiled its 3,000 sq ft space at Al Wasl Avenue. “From the day we became an Official Premier Partner, we wanted to connect our employees’ minds to Expo 2020 Dubai. This was underpinned by our commitment to this incredible event, as well as our internal focus on volunteering, and providing amazing experiences in and beyond the office for our employees,” added Abdulrazzaq. It was launched in 2015 and to-date, has seen the group contribute over 145,000 volunteering hours. It currently has nearly 4,300 active members including employees, as well as their family and friends, and the Group’s partners. In related developments, the Dubai government recently said that its employees will be granted a special allowance of six additional days of paid leave to attend the Expo 2020 Dubai. The six-day leave can be used at anytime during the period of Expo 2020, which runs from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.
