Emirates will start daily A380 services between Dubai and Los Angeles from December 2 – marking the 23rd A380 destination on the airline’s network.

EK215 will depart Dubai at 0820 and arrive at Los Angeles’ Tom Bradley International Terminal at 1250. The return flight, EK216, departs Los Angeles at 1600 and arrives in Dubai at 1950 the following day.

The arrival time has been designed to provide connections to destinations such as Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Diego and Honolulu.

The 489-seat Emirates A380 offers 14 first class suites, 76 lie-flat beds in business class and 399 economy class seats and replaces the B777-300ER currently operating the route.

Orhan Abbas, Emirates Commercial Senior Vice-President of the Americas, said introducing the high-profile aircraft was a “natural fit” that complements the city’s luxury Hollywood lifestyle.

Emirates operates double daily A380 flights between Dubai and New York JFK Airport.

The announcement follows last week’s announcement that A380 services will begin to Zurich.
