Dubai developer Emaar is working on fixing leakages at Dubai Mall after videos emerged showing water-logging at stores in the mall on Sunday.

Videos shared on social media showed flooding in certain stores at the mall after Dubai witnessed heavy rains on Sunday.

“Dubai Mall was affected by the heavy rainfall, causing leakages in limited areas. We are working to contain all leakages and the mall remains operational and open to the public,” Dubai Media Office quoted an Emaar spokesperson as saying.

The UAE is expected to continue seeing rains on Monday, with the National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) warning of reduced visibility in certain areas due to fresh winds.

The lowest temperature recorded over the country on Monday was 9.5 degrees celcius at the Jais mountain at 12.15am.
