Employees of private sector companies and establishments will be off from Tuesday, June 4, until Thursday, June 6, the Oman News Agency reported. Meanwhile the holidays for public sector workers will begin on Tuesday, June 4 and end on the 3rd of Shawwal, the report said. They will resume work on Sunday, June 9, the report added. Eid Al Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, when Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. The exact end of Ramadan and the start of the month of Shawwal is decided depending on the sighting of the moon. The UAE has already announced that public sectors workers in the country will be off for the whole week from Sunday, June 2 and will resume work on Sunday, June 9. Eid holidays for private sector employees will run from Monday, June 3, until the 3rd of Shawwal (expected on Thursday or Friday).
