In an official announcement, the UAE cabinet conmfirmed the Eid Al Fitr holiday schedule for government employees across the nation.
The news was published through the UAE Government’s official X account, formerly Twitter, as well as the official news agency WAM.
9-day Eid al Fitr holiday
According to the tweet, the UAE cabinet has sanctioned a generous one-week Eid al Fitr holiday for all government employees, commencing from Monday, April 8, through Sunday, April 14.
Normal work operations will resume on Monday, April 15.
This declaration translates into a nine-day long holiday combining the weekend of April 6-7 into the break period.
Private sector holiday
While the holiday dates for the private sector are yet to be announced, the UAE government has mandated an equal number of public holidays for both – federal and private sector employees.
With the official holiday dates now confirmed, private sector workers can eagerly anticipate a well-deserved break before returning to work on April 15, 2024.
