DXB’s tips for travellers

Dubai Airports has provided the following tips to ensure a hassle-free journey:

  • Emirates passengers can utilise the airline’s convenient home, early, and self-check-in facilities, including city check-in options.
  • flydubai passengers should arrive at least four hours before departure.

  • Familiarise yourself with your airline’s baggage allowance and packing regulations to avoid last-minute surprises.
  •  Save time by preparing for security screening: place metal items (watch, jewellery, mobile phone, coins, belt) in your hand luggage and follow guidelines for carrying liquids, aerosols, and gels.
  • Families with children over 12 can expedite passport control by using the smart gates.

  • Prepare travel documents in advance and weigh your luggage at home to streamline your journey.
  • Pack spare batteries and power banks in your hand luggage.
  • Use the Dubai Metro to avoid road congestion and move between Terminals 1 and 3.
  • Access to the arrivals forecourts in Terminals 1 and 3 is restricted to public transport and authorised airport vehicles only.
