Home UAE Dubai Dubai’s RTA reveals parking timings during Ramadan Ramadan is expected to begin this weekend by Staff writer May 25, 2017 The Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has revealed the timings for parking during the month of Ramadan, which is expected to begin this weekend. In parking areas falling under zones A, B, C, D and G, from Saturday to Thursday, tariffs will apply from 8am to 5pm, and from 7pm to midnight. At Dubai Silicon Oasis, zone H, parking fees will be charged from 8am to 10pm, Saturday to Thursday. Parking at Tecom, Zone F, will also remain the same, with tariffs applying from 8am to 6pm, Saturday to Thursday. At Zone E, Fish Market, parking fees will be applicable from 8am to 11pm Saturday to Friday, during the holy month, the RTA confirmed. The authority also revealed in terms of Metro timings during Ramadan, the Red line stations will remain open from 5.30am to midnight from Saturday to Wednesday; from 5.30am to 1am (the next day) on Thursdays; and from 10am to 1am (next day) on Fridays. Green line stations will operate from 5.50am to midnight from Saturday to Wednesday; from 5.50am to 1am (next day) on Thursdays; and from 10am to 1am (next day) on Fridays. There will be no change in the timing of the Express Metro service during Ramadan, the RTA confirmed. In a statement, Moaza Al Marri, director of Marketing and Corporate Communication, RTA, said: “Adjusting the service-time aims to improve the level of services delivered by RTA’s agencies to the public to match with the daily routine during the holy month of Ramadan, which is different from the rest of the year.” On Wednesday, the UAE’s Ministry of Emiratisation and Human Resources confirmed that private sector working hours will be reduced by two hours per day without impacting wages during Ramadan. The country also announced reduced public sector working hours for Ramadan. The official working hours for government employees will be from 9am to 2pm. 0 Comments
