Dubai’s Metro service affected; passengers evacuated

Dubai Metro service between two stations on the Green Line has been affected, the emirate’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) has confirmed.

The authority took to Twitter to announce that the service between Gold Souq Station and Baniyas Station was impacted. The reason, however, remains undisclosed.

Passengers from metro cabins were evacuated at the Gold Souq station.

To #DubaiMetro Green Line users, please be informed that the metro service between the Gold Souq Station and Baniyas Station is affected. #RTA‘s staff have evacuated passengers from metro cabins to the Gold Souq Station.

Both the metro stations are located in the Deira area of the emirate.
