Due to growing demand, flydubai will operate daily flights to Maldives during the peak seasonal holiday period from December 17, 2020, through to January 18, 2021. The service, which the carrier initially operated between 2013 and 2018, was reinstated due to growing demand. Read: Flydubai to resume flights to the Maldives next month The carrier has been steadily increasing its operations since July and now serves 44 destinations across Africa, Europe, Central Asia, the GCC and Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent. In line with the comprehensive Covid-19 safe tourism guidelines and hygiene certification programme issued by the Maldivian Ministry of Tourism, all 156 resorts situated in the island nation are following the protective measures, ensuring the safety of tourists and staff.In September, flydubai confirmed that passengers, who book flights between September 1 until November 30, 2020, will be given free global cover for Covid-19.
