Home Transport Aviation Dubai’s Emirates to resume flights to Toronto from August 16 Customers can fly the Emirates A380 from Dubai to Toronto five times a week by Zainab Mansoor August 6, 2020 Dubai carrier Emirates will resume its A380 operations to Toronto starting August 16, it announced on August 6. With this resumption, its A380 network will expand to six cities, covering Amsterdam, Cairo, Paris, London Heathrow and Guangzhou (August 8). Customers can fly the Emirates A380 from Dubai to Toronto five times a week. Emirates flight EK 241 will depart Dubai at 9.10am and arrive in Toronto at 3.05pm local time. The return flight, EK 242 will depart Toronto at 9.45pm and arrive in Dubai at 6.30pm local time, the following day. Flights can be booked on the carrier’s website or via travel agents. As part of the Covid-19 precautionary measures, Covid-19 PCR tests are mandatory for all inbound and transit passengers arriving to Dubai (and the UAE), including UAE citizens, residents and tourists, irrespective of the country they are coming from. In July, the airline said that it had processed nearly 650,000 refund requests in the past two months, returning over Dhs1.9bn to its customers due to several cancellations as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
