Dubai’s Emirates cancels flights to Lagos on weather concerns

Due to low visibility and poor weather, flights were cancelled on February 17-18

Dubai airline Emirates cancelled its flights to and from Lagos in Nigeria due to poor weather and limited visibility on February 17 and 18, 2020.
The following Emirates flights were cancelled:
  • EK781/EK782: Dubai – Lagos – Dubai
  • EK783/EK784: Dubai – Lagos  – Dubai

Customers impacted by the change in flight schedules may opt to travel to Abuja as an alternate sector or return to the point of origin if they carry valid return tickets, the airline said.

Customers booked or connecting in Dubai onto the cancelled flights EK781 or EK783 to Lagos will not be accepted for travel at the point of origin.

Additionally, those customers who were booked to travel to or from Lagos between February 13-18 could opt to change their flights, and postpone their departure for up to seven days later than originally booked.

“We’re monitoring the situation closely and will update our customers as the situation develops,” Emirates said on its website.
