Home UAE Dubai Dubai’s Emirates announces revised schedule for flights to India from April 1 The airline will revert to its pre-pandemic frequency, operating 170 weekly flights to nine cities in the country by Gulf Business March 28, 2022 Dubai-based carrier Emirates has confirmed that it will re-introduce pre-pandemic flight frequencies to its destinations in India from April 1, 2022. The airline will be operating 170 weekly flights to nine cities in the country. The following is its flights schedules: • Mumbai- 35 weekly flights • New Delhi- 28 weekly flights • Bengaluru – 24 weekly flights • Chennai – 21 weekly flights • Hyderabad – 21 weekly flights • Kochi – 14 weekly flights • Kolkata – 11 weekly flights • Ahmedabad – 9 weekly flights • Thiruvananthapuram – 7 weekly flights The carrier said that the decision to reinstate pre-pandemic flight frequencies to India follows a decision by the Indian government to restore all international flights to and from the country from the end of March 2022. Emirates meanwhile will also deploy its Airbus A380 on a daily basis between Dubai and Mumbai this month. Flight EK 500/501 is operated by the double decker aircraft. The airline noted that customers travelling in First and Business Class from Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and New Delhi can avail of its complimentary chauffeur drive service to the airport and on arrival at select locations within the airline’s global network. Recently, the carrier announced that it would boost its services to Melbourne, with a second daily flight on the Dubai-Melbourne route. Starting May 1, the airline will offer customers fourteen weekly services from Dubai to Melbourne. The additional daily frequency between the two cities will grow Emirates’ seats to over 1,000 a day, totalling 700,000 a year between Dubai and Victoria, with 516 seats on each flight.
