Home UAE Dubai Dubai’s DAFZA appoints Marius Ciavola as CEO of Tradeling Ciavola was the chief operating officer of Tradeling and played a pivotal part in setting up the company by Gulf Business March 14, 2021 Dubai Airport Freezone Authority (DAFZA) has appointed Marius Ciavola to assume the role of CEO of Tradeling, Dubai-based B2B eMarketplace. The role was earlier held by Muhammad Chbib, who is leaving the company to pursue new challenges. Ciavola was the chief operating officer of Tradeling and played a pivotal part in setting up the company, which focuses on serving businesses across MENA and beyond via its e-marketplace. Before joining Tradeling in 2020, Ciavola was the head of logistics at Amazon Middle East where he built the operations, grew the firm’s regional logistics business and led large-scale expansion projects in the region. Prior to that he held senior roles at Souq.com and Sukar. “We thank Muhammad for his leadership and role in building the company from inception to date. Marius Ciavola shall assume the role of chief executive officer of Tradeling, the B2B emarketplace creating value for Middle East businesses,” said Dr Mohammed Al Zarooni, director general of DAFZA. Tradeling has over 700 suppliers with over 50,000 SKUs across 13 categories. The company reached over 1,200 registered buyers across the international markets with most from the UAE.
