Home Industry Energy Dubai’s Al Ghurair Group partners with SirajPower for solar power projects SirajPower to install a 1.8 MWp solar rooftop plant at Gulf Extrusions factory by David Ndichu November 25, 2020 Al Ghurair Group has selected SirajPower to design, construct, operate, and maintain a 1.8 MWp solar rooftop plant at its Gulf Extrusions’ facility located at Jebel Ali in Dubai. The project covers 4,500 solar panels that will annually produce/generate 3 GWh of clean energy, and offsetting over 2,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions, corresponding to more than 8,000,000 kilometres driven by an average vehicle passenger (or equivalent to more than 35,000 trees seedlings grown for 10 years). This is the first project under a newly announced partnership between SirajPower, a UAE-based solar energy provider and Al Ghurair Group, one of the largest diversified family business groups in the Middle East, to implement solar systems across their facilities in the UAE.
