This digital revolution has also saved a whopping 25,400 metric tonnes of CO2 by eliminating 617 million printed documents. With a record-setting 2023 (32.6 million transactions, a 25 per cent increase), Dubai Trade, the digital arm of DP World in the GCC region, has qualified its digital prowess and support of seamless trade. Nearly 90,000 transactions flow daily through its platform, 48 per cent focused on clearance and borders, and 44 per cent on cargo and logistics. “Dubai Trade’s growth reflects our digitalisation focus, aligned with Dubai’s D33 strategy,” says DP World group chairman and CEO Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem. “By integrating stakeholders and driving trade through our platform, we’ve boosted efficiency, supported non-oil trade, and embraced sustainability.” Dubai Trade: Focused on seamless interactions Mohamed AbuHamra, COO at DP World GCC, adds, “Passing 300 million transactions is a testament to our role in digitalising Dubai’s trade and logistics.
