The impact of the intense rainfall was felt across Dubai and the wider UAE, resulting in localsed flooding and disruptions, including flight delays at the world’s busiest airport for international travel. With nearly 50 millimeters (2 inches) of rain falling in Dubai over a six-hour period, authorities swiftly mobilised crews to address issues such as downed tree limbs and overwhelmed drainage systems, according to Associated Press.
