Home Industry Dubai reveals new system for visit and residency visas Applications for all visa processes can now be submitted in typing centres by Aarti Nagraj April 7, 2016 Residents in Dubai will now be able to submit visa application forms at authorised typing service centres, under a new system launched by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai. The GDRFA has introduced a new ‘UAE vision’ system, which will enable the public to apply for all kinds of visas and also conduct residency-related transactions including visa renewal and cancellation at typing centres. GRFA assistant of the director-general for administrative support Colonel Hussein Ibrahim said: The ‘UAE vision’ is a new system where members of the public will be able to visit any of the typing service offices and submit their transactions all without having to visit the GDRFA building or any of the centres to complete their transactions as everything will be done at the typing centre only.” He stressed that people must provide accurate information to the typing centre such as valid phone numbers, address and email to ensure that communication can be maintained. After application forms are processed, visit visas will be sent via email while residency visa services will be couriered via the Zajel service. People will only be asked to visit an immigration office in case of any discrepancies or problems, a spokesperson clarified to Gulf Business. The move will help people “save effort and time” said GDRFA director general Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri. No change has been announced regarding visa fees. 0 Comments
