Dubai prepares for royal wedding reception on Thursday
The function at Dubai World Trade Centre will begin at 4pm

Dubai World Trade Centre is preparing to host the royal wedding reception of three sons of the UAE’s Vice President and Prime Minister and Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Thursday.
Thousands of guests from across the world are expected to gather at the venue to celebrate the weddings of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Ahmed, chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation.
The brothers got married in a traditional ceremony on May 15 in a private affair.

Sheikh Hamdan, 36, married Sheikha Sheikha bint Saeed bin Thani Al Maktoum, Sheikh Maktoum, 35, married Sheikha Mariam bint Butti Al Maktoum and Sheikh Ahmad married Sheikha Midya bint Dalmouj Al Maktoum.
The reception at the Trade Centre on Thursday, which begins at 4pm, is only for men – in line with Emirati tradition. A separate celebration will be held for women.
While details have mostly been kept private, images were circulated on social media of the invitation for the weddings. Guests were also sent a bowl of Omani halwa.
Images of the brightly-lit palace have also been shared on social media ahead of the reception.
Sheikh Mohammed, who previously wrote a poem for his sons, shared a video on his Instagram account earlier this week to mark the occasion.
