The RTA had an integrated plan that was well-coordinated with concerned entities to ensure the year-end celebrations went off without a hitch. RTA revealed that Dubai Metro’s Red and Green lines transported 974,416 riders while the tram served 56,208 commuters. Public buses carried 401,510 riders while marine transport vehicles ferried 97,261 passengers. E-hail vehicles served 167,051 riders, with 1,316 individuals using shared transport vehicles. According to the RTA, taxis were used by 590,869 passengers on the day. Dubai had a comprehensive NYE traffic safety plan in place that involved 11,972 people, from 5,574 police officers, and 1,525 patrols to civil defence and ambulance vehicles.
