This weeklong event will transform five key metro stations —The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, BurJuman, Union, and DMCC — into cultural hubs, featuring performances by 20 musicians from the UAE and around the globe. Read: Milestones in numbers – Dubai Metro celebrates 15 years of service Shaima Al Suwaidi, director of Brand Dubai, added that the festival has become a much-anticipated fixture in the city’s cultural calendar. “This year’s edition will see musicians from diverse backgrounds turn ordinary commutes into dynamic showcases of artistic talent,” she said, emphasising how the event contributes to Dubai’s reputation as a global hub for creativity and innovation. Highlights of this year’s Dubai Metro Music Festival The festival will feature an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary performances, with musicians playing a variety of instruments, from classical strings like the qanun and violin to innovative percussion made from recycled materials. Some of the highlights include a performance by a nine-year-old qanun prodigy and a special showcase by a 14-year-old Emirati pianist with autism. Performances will take place across all five metro stations daily from 5 pm to 10 pm, ensuring a diverse rotation of artists throughout the week.
