Jumeirah Bay Island, Dubai’s luxurious man-made archipelago known for its opulent residences, has witnessed the sale of its most expensive villa ever, fetching Dh175m (US$47m), according to property agents involved in the deal.

The record-breaking property, part of the prestigious Sea Mirror project, is a five-bedroom property spread across a sprawling 15,000-square-foot plot.

Beyond its size, the villa boasts an array of luxurious amenities, confirmed Lina Allaoa and Kianoush Darban, the real estate agents at Driven Properties, who brokered the deal.

“The villa features a state-of-the-art gym, spa, sauna, steam room, a remarkable 25-metre lap pool in the basement, and even a dedicated cigar room,” said Allaoa, highlighting the property’s extravagant features.

“The architecture itself is a sophisticated blend of contemporary aesthetics with refined finishes, seamlessly integrating with the natural elements of the beachfront location,” added Darban.

Driven Properties, a member of Forbes Global Properties, an exclusive consortium of the world’s top 100 real estate firms, expressed pride in securing this record-breaking sale. “The overwhelming interest in and swift sale of the Sea Mirror villa highlight the allure and investment potential of this exceptional development,” said Darban.

Sea Mirror is Dubai-based Lamar Development’s signature project. Its modernist architecture and interiors are created by architects Jacobsen Arquitetura and Studio MK27 in collaboration with interior designer Patricia Urquiola.

The identity of the buyer remains undisclosed.
