In a tweet published via the Dubai Media Office, the design of the new logo was unveiled on Sunday evening. The new logo incorporates national symbols such as the Ghaf leaves, which point to the emirate’s flexibility, agility, tolerance and coexistence. Dubai’s famous Dhow boats are also incorporated, as well as other popular aspects such as the falcon, the Dubai flag and the palm tree. “We have revitalised Dubai’s iconic old emblem and adopted it as the new logo for the Government of Dubai. The new logo symbolises the emirate’s visionary leadership, transformative development journey, and evolution into a city of the future,” read a tweet from His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. “The Executive Council of Dubai has been entrusted with the task of overseeing the implementation of the new logo across all government entities,” he went on to say further. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also presided over the first meeting of The Executive Council. During the meeting, it was also announced that there would be an allocation of Dhs40bn for the ‘Dubai Portfolio for Public-Private Partnership’ for 2024-2026.
