The city-wide initiative, first launched in 2017 by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai aims to transform Dubai into one of the most active cities in the world. The 2023 edition of DFC saw participation from over 2.4 million people, making it one of the largest community fitness events globally. Activities at Dubai Fitness Challenge 2024 This year’s challenge promises a range of free activities, including workout classes, pitch and court hire, and major events. These include the Dubai Stand-Up Paddle on Saturday, November 2; Dubai Ride on Sunday, November 10; and the grand finale, Dubai Run, recognised as the world’s largest free run, on Sunday, November 24. Participants will also have access to Community Fitness Hubs across the city, offering free sessions at top workout studios. In addition to these key events, fitness enthusiasts can sign up for triathlons, a dedicated wellness festival, and various padel competitions, all as part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge. Although registration for these events is not yet open, residents are encouraged to stay tuned for updates. In the meantime, Dubai offers a wide range of fitness classes, from HIIT and boxing to outdoor sessions, many of which are available as free trials at gyms and studios across the city.
