Dubai Crown Prince meets Saudi King, Crown Prince in Makkah

The meeting comes ahead of the two emergency Arab summits called by the Saudi King in Makkah later this week

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud met with Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum at the Al Safa Palace in Makkah on Sunday.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed conveyed Ramadan greetings to King Salman on behalf of the UAE leaders.

King Salman also hosted an iftar banquet for him.

During the visit, Sheikh Hamadan also met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.

They exchanged congratulations on the holy month and discussed the cordial relations between the two countries and means of consolidating them further.

The meeting was attended by members of the delegation accompanying Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and a number of Saudi princes and officials.

The meeting comes ahead of the two emergency Arab summits called by the Saudi King in Makkah later this week, on May 30.

The summits will discuss the implications of drone strikes on oil installations in the kingdom and attacks on four vessels, including two Saudi oil tankers, off the UAE coast earlier this month.
