Dubai carrier Emirates offers year-long travel incentives to students and families

Dubai carrier Emirates has introduced year-long incentives for international students, encouraging them to see more of their family, and travel often.

Student travellers can enjoy special discounts on economy and business class fares, additional baggage and a free date change of their booking up until seven days prior to travel, for all tickets booked by October 31 this year.

Students can avail a 10 per cent discount on economy class fares or a 5 per cent off on business class rates.

In addition, the family and companions of students can also avail of the offer, so long as they are accompanied by the student on one of the trip sectors.

Millions of students who have chosen to further their education in institutions outside of their home country as well as those that wish to travel during the school year with friends, stand to benefit from the incentives.

Tickets must be booked using the promotional code STUDENT. All tickets have a maximum stay validity of 12 months.

Students can earn miles to redeem flights, upgrades and additional rewards when they sign up to the Emirates Skywards loyalty programme.

Following the ease in travel restrictions, Emirates has initiated flights to several international destinations to attend to gradually growing demand. Its passenger network has grown to 86 cities in September.

Emirates allows customers to claim medical expenses of up to EUR150,000 and quarantine costs of EUR100 per day for 14 days, regardless of the class of travel or destination on flights undertaken until October 31, 2020.

Emirates has implemented a set of measures to ensure the safety of its customers and employees on the ground and in the air, including the distribution of complimentary hygiene kits containing masks, gloves, hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes to all customers.

The airline has made Covid-19 PCR tests mandatory upon all inbound and transit passengers arriving to Dubai (and the UAE), including UAE citizens, residents and tourists, irrespective of the country they are coming from.
