Home Covid-19 Dnata offers home check-in, baggage disinfection services to travellers in Dubai Check-in services are delivered by baggage technology and logistics company, DUBZ by Zainab Mansoor June 17, 2020 Dubai-based dnata’s airport hospitality brand, marhaba, is offering home check-in and baggage disinfection services, enabling travellers to safely complete their check-in process at any location across Dubai, up to 24 hours before their flight. This is in addition to its Airport Meet & Greet and Chauffeur Services. Marhaba’s home check-in services are delivered by its sister concern, baggage technology and logistics company, DUBZ. During the home check-in process, DUBZ agents check-in travellers for their flights, print their boarding passes, weigh and tag their baggage and ensure that they are delivered to the airport and loaded onto the aircraft. All baggage is treated with disinfectant to offer protection from microbes for up to 72 hours. At the airport, customers are met by marhaba agents who fast-track them through immigration. It has implemented a series of safety measures, inclusive of agents wearing gloves and masks, and abiding by social distancing guidelines while assisting passengers at the airport. The chauffeurs also adhere to safety protocols, and the cars undergo strict disinfecting procedures after each trip. The number of passengers in each vehicle is limited to two in standard cars or three in SUVs. Immediate family members are exempt from these restrictions, as per current UAE regulations. Steve Allen, divisional senior vice president, UAE Airport Operations and Travel, dnata said: “We are thrilled to expand our offering to ensure a safe and seamless travel experience for Dubai travellers. Taking advantage of our innovative solutions, customers can enjoy complete peace of mind throughout their journey, from a quick and easy home check-in process to the delivery of their disinfected baggage at their destination airport. We are confident that our new services will be popular among customers, whose safety and comfort are taken care of by our professionally trained marhaba agents at Dubai International. We will continue to enhance our services to deliver more value for travellers.” “Travel is crucial to all of us, and that is why we have worked hard to add more value by providing long-lasting baggage disinfection as part of our home check-in service. Ultimately, we hope to give people peace of mind to enjoy worry-free holidays once again,” said Omar Abou Faraj, CEO and co-founder of DUBZ. On June 4, the UAE lifted the ban on commercial passenger flight operations that was in place since the end of March and decided to resume limited commercial passenger flight operations at its airports across the country including at Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
