The UAE Embassy in Copenhagen has confirmed that the authorities in Denmark have lifted the ban on all incoming flights from the UAE, effective Sunday, February 7.

Among the new rules in place that will take effect from February 7 until February 28, all passengers must present a negative Covid-test no older than 24 hours before boarding a flight to Denmark.

Upon arrival they are required to be tested and subsequently isolate for 10 days.

Starting January 21, Denmark had temporarily suspended all flights from the UAE, due to ‘suspicion’ over ‘unreliable’ coronavirus tests in Dubai, according to media reports.

However, in response, a senior UAE official stressed that “all accredited UAE testing centres are regularly subject to strict quality checks.”

Denmark has previously advised people against travel abroad, including for business purposes, to stop the spread of the virus.
