Deliveroo expands reach to all major centres of Kuwait

Online food delivery service, Deliveroo, has expanded its reach into the southernmost areas of Kuwait

Online food delivery service, Deliveroo, says that it now officially reaches all major centres in Kuwait, after expanding to the southernmost parts of the country.

In a statement, the company said that it is now serving up deliveries in areas ranging from Sabah Al Ahmad, Ali Sabah Al Salem, Khairan, Sabah Al Ahmad Sea City, Wafra, Julaia, Bnaider and Dubaeeiya.

The expansion comes as Deliveroo marks four years in Kuwait. Headquartered in London, Deliveroo operates across ten markets, including Belgium, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Ireland, Kuwait, Qatar, Singapore, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.

“We are incredibly proud to be able to serve our customers no matter what area of the country they’re in. Whether you are craving your favorite burger from Kuwait City or a quick cup of coffee at the chalet on the weekend, Deliveroo is here to deliver,” said Seham AlHusaini, General Manager of Deliveroo Kuwait and Qatar.

Fast-growing demand

Demand for online food deliveries is growing quickly in Kuwait, according to recent data published by Statista.

The revenue for Kuwait’s online food delivery market is projected to top $1.99bn in 2024. Meanwhile, the market is forecast to grow at an continued annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.15% between 2024-2028 to reach a total market size of $2.93bn by 2028.

A similar growth story is occurring in other GCC markets, such as the UAE. Data from Statista indicates that the UAE food delivery market is expected to hit $1.93bn in revenues in 2023, and grow to $3.76bn by 2028.
