Home Covid-19 Covid-19 update: UAE reports highest daily rise in infections The case count in the UAE has crossed 263,000 by Zainab Mansoor January 20, 2021 The UAE has reported 3,506 additional Covid-19 infections on January 20, its highest ever daily spike in new cases since the pandemic broke out early last year. The new cases were detected as a result of 162,945 tests conducted to screen for the virus. The second highest daily rise in infections, equalling 3,491, was recorded on January 19. The health ministry also confirmed 3,746 recoveries and six deaths. The case count in the UAE has since risen to 263,729.
