The new cases were detected following 225,159 tests conducted to screen for the contagion. The country’s health ministry also confirmed 1,666 recoveries in the preceding 24 hours. The nationwide Covid-19 case count has now risen to 396,711, including 383,998 people who have since recovered from the virus.
