Covid-19 update: UAE reports 1,724 cases, 3 deaths

The UAE has reported 1,724 new Covid-19 cases on May 6, its health ministry has confirmed.

The new infections were detected as a result of 196,777 examinations conducted across the country to screen for the virus.

Meanwhile, 1,682 recoveries were reported during the last 24  hours, raising the recovery count to 511,340.

With three additional fatalities, the death toll has risen to 1,604.

The case count in the UAE stands at 530,944.
