Home Covid-19 Covid-19 update: UAE reports 1,189 cases; death toll scales past 2,000 The nationwide Covid-19 case count has risen to 701,776 by Zainab Mansoor August 15, 2021 The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has reported 1,189 new Covid-19 infections on August 15, thereby raising the total count to 701, 776. The new cases were detected, as a result of 218,163 tests conducted to screen for the virus. The health ministry also recorded 1,419 recoveries, increasing the total number of recovered patients to 679,760. An additional four deaths due to Covid-19 complications were also reported in the last 24 hours.
