Home Covid-19 Covid-19 update: UAE reports 1,158 cases, highest daily rise in new infections The registered infection count in the UAE has risen to 421 by Zainab Mansoor October 1, 2020 UAE The UAE registered its highest daily rise in new infections on October 1, equalling 1,158 cases. The second highest daily increase in new cases were recorded yesterday, on September 30, tallying 1,100. The new cases were detected as a result of 91,234 tests conducted by local health authorities in the past 24 hours to screen for the virus. In the past 48 hours, a total of 2,258 new cases have been registered. The health ministry also confirmed 1,179 recoveries and two deaths.
