The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced that it had detected 1,730 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded infections in the UAE to 207,822. On Wednesday, the country had reported 1,723 new cases – the previous highest daily case count. MoHAP said on Thursday that the new cases were detected after it conducted 146,721 additional Covid-19 tests over the past 24 hours. The infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care, it said. The ministry also announced four deaths due to Covid-19 complications, with the death toll now at 669.
