Covid-19: UAE reports 3,525 cases, 18 deaths, highest daily increase in fatalities

The UAE’s Ministry of Health has reported 3,525 new Covid-19 cases on February 11.

The new cases were detected as a result of 180,340 tests conducted to screen for the virus.

The health ministry also reported 3,734 recoveries, as well as 18 deaths during the past 24 hours, the highest daily rise in fatalities since the virus broke out in the country last year.

The second highest daily increase in deaths, equalling 17, was reported on February 9.

Inclusive of 319,787 people who have now recovered from the virus, the Covid-19 case count in the UAE has risen to 339,667.

Meanwhile, the death toll in the UAE stands at 974.
