Covid-19: UAE reports 1,537 cases, 5 deaths

The UAE’s health ministry has reported a total of 1,537 Covid-19 infections on August 2.

The new cases were detected, following 266,834 tests conducted to screen for the virus.

As many as 1,492 patients recovered from the contagion during the last 24 hours, while five people succumbed to it.

The nationwide case count has now risen to 683,914, including 661,156 recoveries and 1,956 deaths.
