Home Covid-19 Covid-19: UAE reports 1,260 new cases, 4 deaths The total number of recorded cases in the country has reached 698,166 by Staff writer August 12, 2021 The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced 1,260 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the country to 698,166. The cases were found after the ministry conducted 321,439 additional Covid-19 tests over the past 24 hours. According to the ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care. MoHAP also announced four deaths due to Covid-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,992. It also noted that an additional 1,404 individuals had fully recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 675,566. In a statement, the ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment. It also urged the public to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and follow physical distancing to ensure the health and safety of all.
