Covid-19: UAE reports 1,109 cases, 2 deaths

The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) reported 1,109 Covid-19 cases on August 16, raising the total count to 702,885.

The new cases were detected, following 249,792 tests conducted by the health authorities to screen for the virus.

The ministry also revealed 1,505 recoveries in the past 24 hours, scaling the total number of recovered patients to 681,265.

An additional two deaths due to Covid-19 complications were also reported, raising the death toll to 2,003.
