The vaccinations will be administered, starting January, 31, 2021. The move is in line with the authority’s intent to offer different types of vaccines in the emirate for people to choose from, official news agency WAM reported. DHA announces that it will begin providing the Sinopharm #COVID19 vaccine to Emirati citizens and senior Dubai residents who are aged 60 and above, starting 31 January, 2021. pic.twitter.com/AmW39Umv9I — هيئة الصحة بدبي (@DHA_Dubai) January 30, 2021 The Sinopharm vaccine will be available at Nadd Al Hamar Health Centre, Al Twar Health Centre and Al Mankhool Health Centre. “Providing the Sinopharm vaccine is part of the DHA’s keenness to ensure the availability of Covid-19 vaccination services to all segments of the community, especially the older age groups who are considered to be among the high-risk categories,” said Dr Farida Al Khaja, CEO of DHA’s Clinical Support Services and Nursing Sector and Chairperson of the Covid-19 Vaccination Steering Committee. “In the first phase of the launch of the vaccine, the DHA’s Contact Centre will reach out to those who already have pre-registered appointments for [the] vaccination.” The Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine will be available to others in future phases, she added. On January 30, the country’s health ministry recorded 3,647 additional cases of the Covid-19 infection across the country. The case count has now risen to 300,661.
