Field inspectors from the Commercial Compliance & Consumer Protection (CCCP) Sector in Dubai Economy have continued their inspections of markets and shopping centres within the emirate to check for violations of Covid-19 protocols.
On Saturday, it fined six establishments as the employees there were found not to be wearing masks.
The violations were spotted in outlets dealing in garments, travel and tourism, grocery, and fruit juice, mainly in Naif and Al Bada’a.
The inspectors also issued a warning to one other business where it found that the physical distancing stickers were improperly placed.
It added that during its inspections, 189 businesses were found to be fully compliant with all the guidelines.
Last week, a service centre in Dubai’s Al Twar area was shut down after an opening ceremony at the facility was found to be “overcrowded”.

Dubai Economy has called on the public to report any non-compliance that it observes via the Dubai Consumer app, website or by calling at 600545555.
On Monday, the UAE reported 1,096 new Covid-19 cases. The total number of cases scaled to 106,229, including 97,284 recoveries and 445 deaths.
