Courtyard By Marriott Opens In Abu Dhabi

Courtyard by Marriott World Trade Center has opened in Abu Dhabi, marking the mid-range brand’s first hotel in the UAE capital.

Located next to the World Trade Center Mall, currently the tallest building in Abu Dhabi and five minutes’ walk from the Corniche, the hotel targets business travellers seeking good connectivity (free wifi throughout) and affordable accommodation. Opening rates are from Dhs405 (before taxes).

The 195-room hotel contains 105 King rooms, 81 Doubles and nine suites. F&B options include the first floor Bistro (all-day dining), Fifth Street Café (licensed, and comes with power points so you can work on the go) and rooftop venue Up and Below, while The Market, selling gifts, snacks and drinks, is open 24 hours. A Health Club comprises a gym, outdoor pool and pool bar and an interactive ‘Go Board’ displays information for visitors.

In a city swarming with five-star hotels, Courtyard’s arrival will be welcomed by many business travellers for whom reliable technology, a comfortable bed and somewhere affordable to eat and drink are more important than aesthetics and luxuries. It is also a welcome sign that Abu Dhabi’s hospitality market is maturing.

It marks the brand’s second property in the UAE, complementing the Courtyard Dubai, Green Community.
