Organisers of Cityscape Global, the world’s largest real estate event, have joined hands with the Saudi Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing (MOMRAH) to launch the record-breaking event in Riyadh in September.

Registration for the event, which caters to global stakeholders across the entire real estate ecosystem, is now open.  Over 180,000 domestic and international attendees – from buyers and investors in property through to B2B real estate professionals – will descend on the debut edition of Cityscape Global in Saudi Arabia.

The four-day program, which will host hundreds of exhibiting master developers, including world-exclusive showcases of the largest global giga projects, will also exhibit B2B real estate services including architects, proptech, consultants and contractors.

“The launch of Cityscape Global in Riyadh ties perfectly into the three key pillars of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategy – vibrant society, thriving economy, and ambitious nation. In recent years, the real estate market in Saudi Arabia has grown exponentially, attracting large-scale foreign and domestic investment,” said Chris Speller, vice president of Cityscape Global, Informa Markets.

This will include more than 200 speakers that are set to attend the programme at the Riyadh Exhibition & Convention Centre, Malham.

With agenda-leading stages across the exhibition hosting multiple tracks, themes, and topics, key conferences throughout the event include The Future Living Summit, The Institutional Investor Forum, CityscapeWIRE (Women In Real Estate) and the Design and Architecture area.

Meanwhile, reforming the housing sector in Saudi Arabia and improving the access of Saudi families to housing that meets their needs is a major element of the Gulf state’s economic diversification strategy under Vision 2030.

The government has introduced several measures to expedite home ownership among its nationals and boost the residential sector as demand has soared to record highs and is expected to continue on an upward trend.

“Now home to some of the most ambitious giga-projects anywhere in the world, Saudi is the driving force for the next-generation property sector,” added Speller.

The total value of real estate projects planned or underway in the GCC currently stands at $1.36tn and Saudi Arabia accounts for 64.5 per cent of this total, equating to around $877bn worth of projects, according to CBRE.
