While this sacred period is usually associated with fasting and prayer, it is also a significant time to give back to the community in whatever way possible, serving as an important reminder to help the needy and less fortunate around us, while acknowledging one’s own blessings. Observing the spirit of giving this Ramadan, Central Park Towers, DIFC has joined hands with Dubai Cares and the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) to raise funds to support the educational needs of disadvantaged children in the UAE. Dubai Cares, which is part of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, has been offering children and young people in developing countries access to quality education through the design and funding of programmes that aim to be integrated, impactful, sustainable and scalable. Since its launch in 2007, it has initiated education programmes reaching over 21 million beneficiaries in 60 developing countries. A government department, IACAD also encourages charity and values such as honesty, devotion, perfection, transparency and creativity. Through its partnership with these organisations, Central Park Towers, DIFC is committed to supporting and raising awareness of the importance of education as a powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty. It’s also inviting the UAE’s residents to step forward, donate and make a difference.
