Under the JDA, bp will serve as the main developer and operator of the project on behalf of the consortium. The partners will combine their respective gH2 projects in Egypt and investigate the feasibility of a large-scale, multi-phase project focused on the development and export of green hydrogen and its derivatives. Green hydrogen project aims to support energy transition The newly formed consortium has signed a framework agreement (FWA) with the Egyptian government to initiate studies and activities assessing the project’s technical and commercial viability.
