The platform, which is present in over 600 cities across 50 countries, aims to offer premium, sustainable, and technologically advanced transportation services in line with the UAE’s efforts to enhance its mobility landscape. Bolt’s debut is a key addition to Dubai’s goal of transitioning 80 per cent of taxi trips to e-hailing in the coming years, as part of the Dubai government’s broader mobility strategy. Using the intuitive Bolt app, users can book rides, track their drivers, and make seamless payments, offering a convenient solution for residents and visitors. The app provides an integrated service that spans cars, taxis, and micro-mobility solutions. Bolt’s launch offers UAE residents more choice Mansoor Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Corporation, expressed his enthusiasm for Bolt’s launch, stating: “Since the announcement of Bolt’s launch in October, we are pleased to see its operations come to fruition. Dubai has always experienced an influx of visitors, creating an unprecedented demand for transportation. Bolt’s arrival adds a valuable choice for our community, ensuring that getting around the UAE is easier and more accessible than ever through cross-functional mobility.” The initial fleet in Dubai will consist of limousines provided by reputed fleet partners, including vehicles from Dubai Taxi Corporation. The platform’s offering will cater to both affordable and luxury transport needs, meeting Dubai’s growing demand for diverse mobility options. In the coming months, Bolt plans to expand its fleet further with the introduction of taxis on the app, creating a versatile mobility ecosystem. Future phases are expected to include expansion into other emirates and new services such as e-scooters, car rentals, and delivery options.
