The organiser of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) held annually in Dubai, Reed Exhibitions (RX), has announced new dates for the 2022 edition of the event which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

It will now be held from Monday, May 9, 2022 and close on Thursday, May 12, 2022, as opposed to the previously announced dates of May 8-11, 2022.

The revised dates were announced on Thursday as a result of the new Monday-Friday working week now followed by several government and private entities in the country.

“We are looking forward to welcoming the global travel and tourism community to the UAE on Monday, May 9, 2022. Made possible by the UAE’s forward-thinking decision to transition to a 4.5-day, Monday-to-Friday workweek, we are confident ATM 2022’s updated timings will benefit both exhibitors and attendees by offering improved alignment with international markets,” said Danielle Curtis, exhibition director ME – Arabian Travel Market.

This year marks the 29th edition of the event which has been held in in collaboration with DWTC and Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Economy (DTE) – previously known as the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).

Its highlights include Travel Forward, a travel technology event which will focus on next-generation innovations for tourism and hospitality. ATM buyer forums and speed networking events meanwhile will take place during the four days of the show.

After joining remotely for ATM 2021, this year will see both the ARIVALDubai@ATM forum and the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) participate in the in-person event in Dubai for the first time.

The dedicated ARIVALDubai@ATM forum will cover current and future trends for tour operators and attractions, focusing on growing business through marketing, technology, distribution, thought leadership and executive-level connections.

Given the global travel last year, the ATM 2021 in-person event recorded around 21,600 attendees from 110 different countries. During the virtual event, however, 30,790 profiles were registered on the ATM virtual platform, almost 20,000 face-to-face virtual meetings took place and there were over 6,600 conference views.
